Meeting of APMIA Advisory Committee with PASDEC in Islamabad, followings points were discussed and concluded in the meeting,<\/p>\n

i) Conditions of PASDEC machinery rental agreement should be revised in Balochistan and should be according to the market norms through mutual understanding. CEO PASDEC told the quorum to provide the draft proposal, which can be considered.<\/p>\n

ii) Gwadar Industrial Estate is feasible but in long term basis regarding the improvements in export, Advisory committee advised that up gradation of current marble cities is more important rather than making new industrial estates.<\/p>\n

iii) Idea proposed by APMIA that PASDEC should focus on one quarry on to make it a role model in working on mechanizes mining, that will help other mine owners<\/p>\n

iv) Blasting should be banned gradually by reducing it and providing the alternative technical mining procedures to the mine owners.<\/p>\n

v) Skill development \/ capacity building programs from labor should be promoted.<\/p>\n

vi) A committee including representatives from APMIA, PASDEC, SBP, SMEDA and Mines and Minerals Department should be formed on provisional basis and they all should be on one page so a committee can perform and make the meetings of the committee result oriented. Following members of APMIA will nominate the committee members on provisional basis;<\/p>\n

i) Atiq Ur Rehman Abbasi \u2013 Sindh<\/p>\n

ii) Shabbir Ahmed \u2013 Balochistan<\/p>\n

iii) Mr. Muhammad Afzal Shahid \u2013 Punjab<\/p>\n

iv) Asghar Khan Utmankhel \u2013 KPK<\/p>\n

vii) PASDEC should inform APMIA provisional committee members regarding any correspondence with local and government departments so they can follow up with them accordingly.<\/p>\n

viii) Presenting successful model of KPK regarding rental machinery and excavators in Balochistan as well with the corporation of local relevant departments and stakeholders.<\/p>\n

ix) A seminar should be conducted and invite the representatives from SBP and Mines & Minerals during 14th Build Asia Exhibition from 15-17 December, 2018. CEO PASDEC endorsed the suggestion.<\/p>\n

x) CEO PASDEC suggested the committee to visit Pakistan Machine Tools Company (PMTC) and we should involve PMTC for the manufacturing of Marble \/ Granite \/ Stone cutting tools to reduce the import and reducing in import will help this industry to enhance.<\/p>\n

xi) APMIA & PASDEC should emphasize on future policies making on priority basis including local issues of manufacturing and every other problem stone industry is facing.<\/p>\n

xii) Marble City, Risalpur issue was also highlighted, PASDEC official briefed the committee that 80 percent of the material has been released including poles for electricity transmission, remaining will be released in 15 days.<\/p>\n

xiii) APMIA will recommend the miners, intending to acquire rental machinery<\/p>\n
